FAQ

What camera gear should I bring for the Lowveld Photographic Tour?

For optimal results, bring a DSLR or mirrorless camera with interchangeable lenses. A versatile zoom lens (e.g., 24-70mm or 16-35mm) is ideal for capturing stunning landscapes and scenic vistas. If available, a wide-angle lens (e.g., 14-24mm) will be beneficial for expansive shots of the dramatic scenery. Be sure to pack spare batteries, memory cards, a tripod, and a lens cleaning kit. Additionally, a laptop or tablet with photo editing software is recommended for post-shoot editing sessions.

What is the weather like during the tour?

The Lowveld experiences a subtropical climate with hot, sunny days and cooler evenings. Depending on the season, temperatures can range from warm to hot during the day and cooler at night. It's a good idea to bring light, breathable clothing for daytime and warmer layers for the evenings. Rain is possible, especially during the summer months, so pack a light waterproof jacket just in case.

How physically demanding is the tour?

The tour involves a moderate amount of walking. While the pace is relaxed, you should be comfortable with getting in and out of vehicles and spending extended periods outdoors. If you have any mobility issues or health concerns, please inform us prior to booking so we can make any necessary arrangements.

What if I need to cancel or reschedule my tour?

We understand that plans can change. Our cancellation and rescheduling policies are designed to be flexible and fair. Please refer to our cancellation policy. If you need to make changes, contact us as soon as possible, and we’ll do our best to assist you.

Will there be opportunities for non-photography activities during the tour?

While the primary focus of the tour is on photography, there may be additional activities such as guided nature walks or cultural experiences, depending on the schedule and local opportunities. These activities are designed to enhance your overall experience and provide a deeper connection to the region. If you have specific interests or requests, please let us know in advance, and we will do our best to include them in the itinerary.

What is the maximum group size for the tour?

To ensure a personalized and immersive experience, we limit the tour to a small group of participants. This allows for individual attention from our guides. The maximum group size is typically around 5-8 people, ensuring that everyone has ample space and opportunity to get the most out of their photographic journey.
