Wisdom Beyond Age
You sometimes meet someone, and they just make a difference to your day. Young Thabang called requesting a photoshoot. He explained that he had started a financial business with his family, and that he required images of himself in his suit and his Thobe.
I always have a varied selection of alternative /fun images for my clients to choose from. He wasn't having any of that, thank you. At 19, he knows exactly his path in life and is a humble dedicated young man. Photographing his calm state of mind and his inner happiness, brought added peace to my soul. Bless you Thabang. It was wonderful to make your acquaintance.
Laughter Reigns Supreme with Da Vinci Resolve
Today was going to be the last lesson of our November's Short Course of Video and Da Vinci Resolve Editing Content.
Teaching a small class this month of only two ladies, was on track, and everything should have gone smoothly and they should have finished timeously. It was show and tell time, with only final edit tweaks for their created video and interview. They both came in looking decidedly guilty and admitted that life had got in the way. Banks that had cancelled business cards and one foot was in a moon boot. They were fair excuses - but the box of sausage rolls sealed the guilt trip.
Our lessons always run on schedule, but this was a naughty class. After I edited their videos for them and showing them what they should have completed, the laughter turned hysterical. Tracey astutely advised that she will finish her video editing on Da Vinci Resolve and send her finished work via WeTransfer (such a cop out). By then, Lucy could not contain herself and agreed. Not letting them of the hook, I invited them back for another last lesson, in 2 weeks time.
Thanks girls for such a "girl" day - you have 336 hours and counting.....
